His name is Enigma, and he's a magician. Of sorts. He doesn't exactly prefer the term "necromancer," but if you must call him that, very well.
He's quite funny, actually. In a dark, twisted, maniacal way.
Unfortunately, his use of necromancy pays its tolls on him--it slowly kills him from the inside out. Throughout the book, his skin will occasionally drop off, revealing his frail skeleton. When all the flesh, muscle, and blood are gone, he will die.
"It's a small price to pay, for having that sort of power," he says. "When someone you don't like dies, you can say, 'No, sorry. You serve me now, thank you very much.'"
I'm not going to reveal anything else about him yet. After all, his name is Enigma.
